In [[M42]], Solomon Akurra sought to reclaim the precious Alpha Legion artefact known as the [[Pale Spear]], which was once wielded by [[Alpharius]] himself. The spear had moved to an [[Ordo Malleus]] vault in the [[Psyphos Sub-Sector]] by command of [[Inquisitor]] [[Kayzen Hart]], in order to lure the traitor Astartes into an ambush.{{Fn|2a2b}} While Solomon was able to retrieve the blades of the Spear{{Fn|2b2c}} and use them to wrest back control of the conglomerated Alpha Legion [[Chaos Warband]]s of the [[Ultima Segmentum]], the original haft remains in Inquisitor Hart's hands.{{Fn|2c2d}} Solomon now commands a coalition of Alpha Legion warbands dubbed the '''Ghost Legion'''. He now has the majority of the [[Psyphos Sub-Sector]] in [[Segmentum Pacificus]].{{Fn|4}}

Solomon Akurra is known to recruit [[human ]] [[Operative| operatives]] and legionaries from loyalist [[Schola Progenia]], often without the knowledge of the recruits or the schola.{{Fn|3}}He is also accompanied by a human [[witch]] [[Tulava Dyne]].{{Fn|2a}}
