Acheran knew they could not break free from the Traitors [[Traitor]]s and instead ordered the [[Vanguard Librarian]] [[Maltis]], to escape and bring word of what had happened to [[Chapter Master]] [[Calgar]]. Maltis successfully returned to the ''Carpatia'', which then escaped to [[Vigilus]].{{Fn|2}}

Acheran would survive his battle on [[Nemendghast]] though, and later took part in the [[Fourth Tyrannic War]]. During the affair surrounding [[Project Aurora]], Acheran reincorporates the [[Space Marine Captain|Captain]] reincorporated [[Demetrian Titus]] as a [[Space Marine Lieutenant|Lieutenant]] into the [[2nd Company(Ultramarines)|2nd Company]], while it defended the [[Recidious System]] from [[Tyranids]]. However, Acheran has still had some suspicions of Titus , due to his history as a [[Deathwatch Blackshield]] and detainment by the [[Inquisition]].{{Fn|3a}} He The [[Thousand Sons]] later fights invaded the [[System]] as well and the 2nd fought the [[Traitor Legion]], under their [[Chapter Master]] [[Marneus Calgar]] against 's command, on the Recidious [[Thousand Sonsmoon]] on , [[Demerium]] . The [[Ultramarines]] emerged vicarious over the Thousand Sons and congratulates Acheran later congratulated Titus for his efforts in defending the the System after the battle.{{Fn|3b}} However his service to  Sometime later, the [[ImperiumSpace Marine Captain|Captain]] ended, when Acheran led a strike force to [[Trygg (World)|Trygg]], to investigate the disappearance of a [[Munitorum]] survey vessel, . This was revealed to have been done by a [[Genestealer Cult]] and the Captain's forces were destroyed by a while defending the infested [[Genestealer CultHive World]]. Their sacrifice though, greatly reduced the spread of the Cult's rebellion and allowed the [[Hive World]] Trygg to be saved by [[Imperial]] reinforcements. [[Demetrian Titus|Titus ]] would then be selected to succeed Acheran as Captain of the [[Ultramarines]]' 2nd Company.{{Fn|5}}
