==History==

Commanded by [[Dalchian Rassaq]], it was originally subordinate to a larger Chaos alliance under the [[Crimson Slaughter]] Lord [[ Thelissicus]] and in a desperate weakened state.{{Fn|1a}} Thelissicus' constant abuses caused Rassaq to leave the Thelissicus, determined to forge his own destiny and rebuild the depleted Blades of Atrocity.{{Fn|1b}} During their raids they formed an alliance with the [[Abyssal Kindred]] under [[Sorcerer Lord]] [[Leil Jathok]], securing the [[League of Black Ships|Black Ship]] ''[[Vitreyu]]'' and its stock of captive [[Psyker]]s.{{Fn|1c}} After this victory Jathok betrayed Dalchian, but the Night Lord was able to anticipate this and captured the Sorcerer within a [[Stasis]] pod.{{Fn|1c}} In the aftermath Dalchian had also secured a [[Gene-Seed]] cache to rebuild the Blades of Atrocity and declared war upon Thelissicus.{{Fn|1d}}
