At some point, a [[heretical]] pleasure [[Chaos cult|cult]] had taken root in the [[noble]] family of the local [[Imperial Commander]], [[Aphra Verlaine]]. The corruption had spread to Verlaine’s ancestral allies, ultimately resulting in a devastating civil war spanning multiple [[systems]].{{Fn|1}}

The hive world was eventually liberated by [[Colonel]] [[Elena Grayloc]] and her [[83rd Yervaunt Voltigeurs]]. Grayloc led her [[Tempestus Scions]] to Aphra Verlaine’s throne room, through hordes of horribly transformed [[cultists]]. With the death of Aphra Verlaine, the [[Archenemy]] forces fell into disarray, and Heliogabalus was liberated. Despite the Imperial victory, Colonel Elena Grayloc and the 83rd Yervaunt Voltigeurs were not left unaffected by Verlaine’s taint.{{Fn|1}}
