History
*Battle of Quradim
Helios was part of the Ultramarines strike fore dispatched to the Agri-World of Meto, which was overrun by Orks. Systematically annihilating the Ork horde, Helios then personally killed the the commanding Greenskin Warboss.1a Upon the victory, he and Sergeant Theron were assigned by Roboute Guilliman to a new mission at Quradim alongside a batch of new Primaris Space Marines under Seneca. Upon arrival at Quardim in the Destroyerdestroyer Light of Iax, they find the world already mostly conquered by the Iron Warriors under Warsmith Bolaraphon and the defending Genesis Chapter elements mostly wiped out.1b
Boarding the derelict Genesis Chapter Frigatefrigate Excelsior, the Imperials were then set upon by the Iron Warriors Battleshipbattleship Damnatio Memorae. Helios and the Primaris Marines were able to escape the Excelsior before it could be rammed by the Iron Warriors vessel.1c Helios and his squad escaped in a shuttle which then crash-landed on Quardim Quradim's surface just as the larger Indomitus Crusade fleet arrives arrived in orbit, forcing the Iron Warriors to desperation.1d They learned that the Iron Warriors were attempting to detonate Virus Bombs to deny Quardim Quradim to the Imperials, and they stormed the arms cache to prevent this. During the battle the Ultramarines were victorious, but Helios was gravely wounded against a Chaos Dreadnought.1e
The Ultramarines were subsequently able to rendezvous with a group of other Ultramarines and Genesis Chapter forces led by Jovian. They then learned that the virus bombs have had been moved to a secure facility at the planet's southern pole. Using the Genesis Chapter Librarian Hesiod, they were able to send a message to the orbiting Crusade fleet about the situation.1d Helios then led the force to the southern polar region, engaging the Iron Warriors in a furious battle and securing the bombs. Roboute Guilliman himself was soon to arrive alongside Captain Jorus Numitor.1g
Meanwhile, Jovian, Theron, and Genesis Marine remnants fought a desperate siege against attacking Iron Warriors to protect the Genegene-Seedseed of the Genesis Chapter.1g They were then reinforced by Helios and his Marines, and together the Imperials waged a fierce defense defence of the Genesis Chapter's citadel. Helios learned from Hesiod that the Iron Warriors are attempting to reacquire the virus bombs. This forced a reluctant Helios and the rest of the Ultramarines to disengage to prevent this. They left the willing Genesis Chapter to their fate.1i
During the final battle against the Iron Warriors, the Ultramarines were victorious in retrieving the virus bombs, though Helios was gravely wounded. Helios revealed that they intended to collect such weapons to use them on corrupted worlds near the new Great Rift. Helios died just as Guilliman himself arrived, and the Primarch honors honoured the Chaplain for his service and sacrifice.1j Shortly after the last of the Iron Warriors were defeated, though , Bolaraphon was able to find and detonate a remaining warhead. The virus spread across the planet, but Guilliman was able to escape.1k
