White Seers train within the [[Black Library of Chaos|Black Library]] and work beside the [[Guardian-Scribes|Black Library Guardians]] of the [[Black Library of Chaos]] as curators of the library. They coordinate with the [[Guardians of Biel-Tanigh]] and the [[Harlequin]]s,{{Fn|4}} they are called upon when sources of corruption are so powerful that even the latter's devotion to [[Cegorach|The Laughing God]] will not protect them.{{Fn|1}} In this effort, White Seers are summoned upon by the [[Asuryani]] of the [[Craftworld]]s to contain powerful artefacts of [[Chaos]]{{Fn|4}} at the request of their [[Farseer]]s.{{Fn|1}}
As their name implies, White Seers dress all in plain white and shave their heads of all hair,{{Fn|1}} some even go so far as to adorn themselves with a featureless mask in addition to their robes.{{Fn|2b}} White Seers command archaic and almost abstractly artistic engines of destruction which shoot beams of coruscating power capable of disintegrating [[Daemon]]s,{{Fn|5}} and weapons of arcane destruction which can instantly unmake daemon & mortal flesh alike.{{Fn|3a}} They have special mastery of [[Web-Runner]]s, Eldar craft whose crystaline [[Ghost Engine]] may be operated by [[White Seer]]s to burrow through the [[Warp]] itself, although they are also taught by [[Harlequin]]s how to navigate the [[Webway]].{{Fn|4}} They also make use of tools of containment, including rune-covered [[Null-coffin]]s which negate the influence of [[Chaos]] artefacts locked within.{{Fn|4}} [[Spirit Stone]]s glow white in their proximity and [[White Seers Seer]] are found offputing by their psychic kin for this absence:{{Fn|1}} they have no presence in [[Seer]]s ''Skeins of Fate'' and are found offputing by their psychic kin for this absence,{{Fn|1}} and lesser [[Daemon]]s flee in their presence.{{Fn|4}}
