He is easily distinguishable from his brethren because of his bossy nature and tendency to be over nine feet (3 metres) tall. As a general rule of thumb, the more successful a Warboss is, the larger he is.{{Fn|2b}}

In battle a Warboss often directly leads his tribe, and is a force to be reckoned with himself. Warboss's commonly keep a group of [[Nob]] bodyguards, [[Gretchin]] ammo haulers, and a pet [[Attack Squig]] around, making them even more formidable in combat.{{Fn|5b}} A Warboss maintains his position by power purely because of his size and the ability to beat any challengers to a pulp. Yet the more brawls and victories a Warboss wins, the bigger and stronger he gets, which will in turn increase his number of followers and prestige.{{Fn|2b}}{{Fn|2c}}
