The Familiar serves as a direct proxy for Ahriman where he isn't physically present, with the Sorcerer being able to see and talk through the creature. When Ahriman is not in direct control the Vessel murmurs in a softer register— seductive, coaxing, hinting that the bindings tying it to its master may be negotiable.{{Fn|1}}
The creature has since been deployed as Ahriman's herald to [[Mordian]], alongside Magister [[ Khethos Vorsch]], where it serves as silent herald, observing Magister Vorsch and nudging events in its favorfavour.{{Fn|1}}
