Dire visibility and exceptionally rough terrain reduced the war to a never-ending string of bloody skirmishes that tested the skills of the Catachan infantry to their limits.{{Fn|1}} The situation for the Imperials wasn't helped by the Orks managing to [[Looted Wagon|loot]] a [[Deathstrike Missile Launcher]], which necessitated the deployment of a squadron of Catachans led by [[Sergeant (Imperial Guard)|Sergeant]] [[Stryker]] to neutralise it.{{Fn|2}}
