==Overview==
When Gilead's [[Imperial]] forces explored Vulkaris, they found a [[Ice World|frozen world]] whose surface is dotted with what appear to be abandoned Imperial shrines. However, they soon discovered that plague and decay covered Vulkaris surface and it is now a quarantined world, which forbids anyone from landing there.{{Fn|1}}
Despite being little more than a fetid, disease ridden hellscape, Vulkaris retains life on its surface. [[Daemon]]s and the [[Nurgle]]'s faithful cavort openly amongst the rot and ruin. The persistence of mortal life here is seen by some as a 'blessing' of Nurgle. However, the [[Asuryani]] suspect a relic of their ancestors — perhaps of [[Isha]] herself]] — could be the reason the world retains a fragment of its shattered biosphere.{{Fn|2}}
