Despite that modern conventional Imperial teleportation finds it either impossible or risky, Archeotech Teleportariums from the Dark Age of Technology are known to be capable of reliably transporting forces and armies directly from planet to planet. A network of these archeotech teleportariums existed in Subsector Aurelia as well as on the Space Hulk Judgment of Carrion. These were used by Apollo Diomedes commanding a force of Blood Ravens in pursuit of the traitor Chapter Master Azariah Kyras.13
Some very wealthy Rogue Traders can also be noted to possess personal miniature teleporting teleportation beacons as symbols of rank; , the technology itself being considered old and rarefied with even having one being considered a miracle; which this can assist them in a dangerous situation situations, allowing them to traverse back to the safety of their flagships ' teleportariums in relative distance if there is are no void-shields shields to interfere with the process.23
Being teleported is unique experience. After the near blinding and deafening flash of the teleporter array activating the individual experiences an immediate sense of falling.19a For a fraction of a second the tranlocating individual is both rising and falling through unreality, nothing but discordant cries in unknown languages and sibilant whispers promising one's deepest desires are all that can be heard. Unnatural, cloying hands grasp at limbs. Then reality is reasserted. Those guardsmen unaccustomed to the disorientating sensation of translocation might fall on their hands and knees vomiting or weep blood from their eyes and ears upon arrival to their destination.19b
