In the first edition of [[Dark Imperium (Novel)]], it would be the active Captain-General following Roboute's [[Roboute_Guilliman#Awakening|Awakening]] who would present the [[Emperor's Sword]] to Roboute following his awakening (possibly [[Trajann Valoris]]){{fn|5}} In the 2nd edition, this was changed to an unspecified Captain General during The Scouring, allowing Roboute to wield the Emperor's Sword against Fulgrim at Thessala.{{fn|5a}}{{fn|5b}}
