Biography
Outside of the Chapter, Phoros had long held the Adeptus Terra in distrust after the castigation of his Chapter. It would be this distrust that would allow Lugft Huron to bring the Lamenters to his cause in the Badab War. In the course of this conflict, Phoros was believed killed when the Minotaurs Chapter destroyed the Battle Barge Daughter of Tempests, but rumours abounded that he had survived unseen in the wreckage and would rejoin his brethren in exile.1
Indeed, Phoros rejoined his brethren during their Penitent Crusade after the Badab War.13 Following the deployment of the Flesh Tearers during the Third War for Armageddon, he was one of several Chapter Masters of the Sanguinary Brotherhood who presided over the trial of Gabriel Seth.2
By M42, it he remained Master of the Lamenters and would regularly dispense permission for Battle Brothers to carry out the Lamentations - a ritualized period of meditation and reflection - during operations, should a member of the Calix Priesthood be unavailable.3
