Stovrwrath the Brazen Eighth is a World Eaters Daemon Prince.[1]

History

Before ascending to Daemonhood, he was known as Stover and served as the Captain of the World Eaters Eighth Company, during the Horus Heresy. Among the battles he took part in was the Shadow Crusade's invasion of Nuceria, where his Primarch, Angron, became a Daemon Prince. Stovrwrath would later achieve his as well and in M42, he was among Khorne's forces that were seeking to invade Armageddon through the Red Angel's Gate Warp Rift. However before Stovrwrath could do so, he was attacked by members of the Grey Knights' Brotherhood of Thirteen, who were led by the Paladin Dvorik.[1]

They had been dispatched by their leader, Graucis Telomane, to defeat the Daemon Prince and learn Angron's True Name from him. The Epistolary needed this information as part of his preparations to defeat the Daemon Primarch once he returned to Realspace. Stovrwrath then duelled with Dvorik, who ordered the rest of the Brotherhood to combat the other Khorne Daemons nearby. The Paladin sought to bring down the Daemon Prince himself, but was unable to, before his leader Telomane arrived with the remainder of the Thirteen. Unbeknownst to both Stovrwrath and Dvorik, months had passed since the Paladin's forces had entered the Red Angel's Gate and Angron had now returned to Realspace. However, Telomane had just learned he would not strike at Armageddon, as the Thirteen had thought, but on an entirely different world. With time drawing sort to put his plans into motion to stop Angron, the Epistolary had decided to intervene and aid in defeating Stovrwrath.[1]

Between the two powerful Grey Knights, the Daemon Prince was struck down and Telomane then branded Stovrwrath with the mark of Malcador the Sigilite. This prevented him from moving as long as it remained and Stovrwrath began taunting Telomane once he realized this. The Daemon Prince had hoped that the Epistolary would become enraged and destroy him, which would send him back to the Warp. Telomane, however still sought Angron's True Name and used his psychic might to enter Stovrwrath's memories. The Epistolary then located the moment that Angron became a Daemon Primarch and witnessed the chanting of the Chaos ritual that had aided Angron in doing so. Within its words, Telomane gathered a fragment of the Daemon Primarch's True Name and then ended his connection to Stovrwrath. With the information they sought now in his hands, Telomane ordered the Brotherhood of Thirteen to leave the Red Angel's Gate, so they could find Angron's current location. Before he left, however, the Epistolary caved in the side of Stovrwrath's skull and left the paralyzed Daemon Prince where he lay.[1]
