Strayk is an Astra Militarum General.^[1]

History

In M42, his forces defended the Ultramar world Idarus from a Tyranid invasion. Despite the Astra Militarum's efforts, however, they began to be overwhelmed and a fearful Strayk was sure that Idarus was doomed. While he continued to rally his forces against the Xenos, the General could tell their morale was low, no matter how he tried to convince them they could still win. Mere moments after his last attempt to inspire them though, Strayk received word that an Ultramarines strike force, led by Captain Demetrian Titus, would soon arrive on Idarus. This news immediately reinvigorated them all, but a now hopeful Strayk told his forces that they had to survive until the Ultramarines reached the world. He also informed them that they should strive to ensure that Titus was impressed with the Astra Militarum's efforts, when the Captain arrived. The General then issued orders to ensure both of those goals were achieved and his revitalized forces followed them.^[1]
