Strike Force Retribution is a Torchbearer Fleet that was dispatched to aid a Space Marine Chapter, during the Indomitus Crusade.^[1]

History

However it was later diverted from its duties to Jovandira, which had recently fallen to the Tau Empire. When the Xenos began evacuating the world's Imperial relics, in order to better understand their foe, the Strike Force was charged with destroying the Tau and reclaiming Jovandira's relics. Led by its commander Captain-General Trajann Valoris, the Strike Force struck at one of the world's cities, where Commanders Starstrike and Novastorm were overseeing the excavation of six Imperial relics. The ensuing battle devastated their forces and saw its leadership either killed or too wounded to continue fighting. This led to both sides retreating from the ruined city. Though the Strike Force was able to collect more relics, neither side could claim a true victory.^[1]
