Szabo was a Major of the Brevian Centennials active during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.[1a]

Biography

Prior to the Sabbat Crusade, Szabo participated in the winter-wars on Aex Eleven.[1b]

Szabo took part in the Hagia campaign, commanding Brevian forces assigned to the capture of Hagia's capital, the Holy Doctrinopolis, which had been overrun by the Infardi under Pater Sin.[1a] Although the Imperials were making good headway in taking the city, the impatience of Lord General Lugo resulted in him ordering the Imperial forces to forego the infantry-based approach advocated by Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt in favour of an armoured assault by the Eighth Pardus Armoured.[1a][1b] Following this attack, Szabo and the Brevians moved to secure the Citadel.[1b]

Unfortunately for the Imperials, Pater Sin had prepared a ritual trap at the Citadel, which was triggered by the Brevians' approach.[1b] The ritual destroyed the Citadel, killing Szabo and the rest of the deployed Brevians.[1b][1c]
