Szerhan Nethar, known as the Chainflayer, is a Chaos Lord of the Night Lords.[1a]
Leading the warband known as the Fear Rakers, Nethar the Chainflayer allied himself with Abaddon the Despoiler during the Nachmund Rift War. During the war, his forces plundered the worlds and orbital stations of the Imperium, taking enormous numbers of Psykers captive in the process. His warband maintained a number of Psycho-torment Torpedoes known as Dread Missiles aboard his flagship Hollow. He swore these to the Black Legion's cause in order to gain prominence amongst the many Chaos Champions of the campaign.[1a]
Nethar has refused at least some gifts of Chaos, viewing Haarken's mark of Tchorr'Kan as a sign of weakness.[1b]
