Sorry does it say Ardias was seriously injured in the novel? or killed? Endeavour 21:48, 22 December 2008 (CET)

As far as I can tell, he was never killed. He was still alive by the end of the novel Fire Warrior and I have seen nothing that says that he was killed afterward. Can anybody confirm or deny this? --LNA-Big D 22:18, 5 May 2011 (CEST)

The only place in the Space Marines Codex that I know of a mention of Ardias is page 23 describing the 3rd Company's banner. However on page 17 it says that Captain Fabian is captain. This article states that Ardias was severely wounded during the Joran retaliation 745.M41, but no such thing exists. The JorUn retaliation took place circa 100.M41. Joran IV is a world of the Damocles crusade which occured prior to 745.M41.

Until 745.M41, Captain Ardias led the Third Company, but was seriously injured on Joran IV during the Damocles Crusade. Fabian was confirmed as his successor on the Battle of Macragge against Hive Fleet Behemoth
So how can he use the First Tyrannic War as inspiration for his heraldry if he is also incapicitated during that time (745.M41)--Ytokes 02:47, 6 May 2011 (CEST)
Other Lexicanum articles are worthless as a source unless they have a precise footnote. Who knows if that is even correct like that... --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum 10:22, 6 May 2011 (CEST)
So if there is no reliable source for the death/injury claim, shouldn't that part be removed from those pages?--LNA-Big D 03:10, 14 May 2011 (CEST)
