Tanaro
Tanaro is an Ultramarines Sergeant, who is among the Imperial forces his Battle Brother Lieutenant Varus Castamon, commands in the defense of the vital Sanctus Line world Regium.[1]
History
During the Fourth Tyrannic War, the remnants of a Tyranid Leviathan Splinter Fleet, entered Regium's System and in doing so began casting the Shadow in the Warp. This wreaked havoc across the world, causing some of its population to riot and led to its once defeated separatists to renew their attacks. Castamon knew the true threat was the Splinter Fleet though and that once it was destroyed the Tyranid's Shadow would disappear as well. However his initial plans to lead the assault against the Xenos with his warfleet and the might of all of his Ultramarines, was rejected by Regium's new Planetary Governor, Seroc. Due to its importance to the Sanctus Line, the Governor feared for the safety of his world should the entirety of the Ultramarines depart on the attack and Castamon agreed with this concern. Instead the command of the attack was given to his Battle Brother Lieutenant Tyrus, who would be joined by most of their Ultramarines. Meanwhile, the rest would stay to defend Regium under Castamon's command, with Sergeant Tanaro and his squad being amongst them.[1]
