Toros Tertium is an Imperial world in Segmentum Obscurus which is close to the sundered Cadian Gate.[1]
History
Like Cadia, Toros Tertium along with worlds of its system were home to a large Pylon array which kept the Warp at bay. This protected it from the swelling Eye of Terror during the Thirteenth Black Crusade and fall of Cadia. As a result, the system became an important lynchpin to Imperial efforts to resist the Chaos advance from the Eye of Terror. Under the direction of its Governor Margravale Ostwynne, it recieved substantial Imperial aid in the form of millions of Imperial Guard troops from the Cadian Shock Troopers, Mordian Iron Guard, and more. Even the famed Ursula Creed arrived to aid in the defense of the world.[1]
Thanks to its extensive defenses and Abaddon focusing on the Nachmund Gauntlet, Toros Tertium was able to resist attacks by the World Eaters under Ukhtor Skulleater and Shrive of the Alpha Legion. However the world was then targeted by Perturabo as part of his Infinite Citadel strategy. Toros Tertium was invaded and besieged by the Iron Warriors under Warsmith Kravek Morne, but the swift arrival of Imperial Fists and Black Templars under Darnath Lysander prevented the planet's quick fall. Morne has left the warzone to focus on Agripinaa, leaving behind a grinding siege.[1]
