Twin Lance
The Twin Lance is a T'au battlesuit team comprised of the Shas'vre veteran pilots Sunsear and Scatterflare, who are now held as the exemplars of the Mont'ka philosophy - a title that was once held by Commander Farsight, before he rebelled against the T'au Empire.[1][2]
History
When their bond-mate, Commander Darkflame, was slain by a Genestealer Patriarch, Sunsear and Scatterflare adopted a close-range style of combat. They destroyed the Patriarch in a blaze of anguished fury. Their newfound aggression, and natural teamwork, led the pair to betimes experts at hit and run assault tactics.[1][2] They would soon be recognised and lauded as the living embodiments of Mont'ka. This allowed them to gain access to advanced wargear, such as the Warmaker Battlesuit.[1]
Since becoming exemplars of the Mont'ka philosophy, the Twin Lance have been deployed across the T'au Empire's frontiers. This is usually wherever their presence will claim victory for the Greater Good.[1]
Wargear
The Twin Lance both wear Warmaker Battlesuits, which are equipped with Neocapacitor Shields. However they prefer to wield different weapons in combat. Sunsear prefers to wield a Fusion Eliminator, to blast holes in heavy armour, while Scatterflare prefers an Ion Scattercannon, which unleashes a barrage of deadly bolts.[1]
