Verodan

Verodan was a venerable Wolf Priest, in the Space Wolves Chapter.[1]
History
He was serving under Force Commander Rakhim, aboard the Pride of Fenris, when they received a plea for aid from Asedor. Rakhim then led his forces to the Imperial Hive World, but discovered that it was firmly in control of the Brothers of Retaliation Warband and their Chaos Cult and Traitor PDF allies. Seeing this, led the Commander to know that his forces were outnumbered and could not win in a direct assault against the invaders. Instead he sought to escort Asedor's Imperial Governor, Elias An'Therosed, to the Pride of Fenris, so the Governor could provide intelligence about the Chaos forces they would face. This would then allow the Space Wolves to know where to aim their attacks, in order to ensure they defeated the invaders. Verodan was then part of the rescue-team that Rakhim led to extract An-Therosed and it teleported to the Governor's besieged palace in the Arden Prime Hive.[1]
They found An'Therosed with his remaining loyal forces and were preparing to teleport back to the Pride of Fenris, when disaster struck. The Brothers of Retaliation became aware of the Space Wolves' presence and jammed the rescue-team's teleport signal. This prevented them from escaping with An'Therosed and with Asedor's orbital defenses in the Warband's hands, the Pride of Fenris was also unable to send Thunderhawks to extract the Space Wolves and Governor. The Chaos invaders then attacked them, but An'Therosed informed the rescue-team that there was a prototype Escape Pod, at the top of Arden Prime's Hive-spire. While it could not house all of them, the Escape Pod was made to be invisible to sensors and could safely reach the Pride of Fenris. But they would need to reach it before the Chaos invaders broke through their defensive lines. Acting quickly, the Space Wolves began escorting the Governor to the Escape Pod chamber, while leaving An'Therosed's remaining loyal Adeptus Arbites and Guardsmen to fended off the invaders. However the Chaos forces overran the Governor's forces and a group of the Brothers of Retaliation began pursing the rescue-team. The Chaos Space Marines were then able to catch up with the Space Wolves, as they neared the Escape Pod's chamber.[1]
In the intense fighting that erupted, both sides suffered numerous losses and Rakhim sought to ensure that the Imperial Governor was safely extracted. He began escorting An'Therosed to the Escape Pod chamber, while Verodan and the Loki and Black Wolves packs, provided covering fire. However when Ajan's Chaos Terminators neared the Governor's location, the Wolf Priest led the Black Wolves in a charge against them, to protect An'Therosed. The Space Wolves proved to be no match for the Chaos Terminators, though, and they were all killed except for a mortally wounded Verodan. The cackling Chaos Terminators then surrounded the Wolf Priest, but Verodan used the last of his strength to activate a Melta Bomb. The resulting explosion not only killed the Wolf Priest, but also Ajan and the Chaos Terminators as well.[1]
