Warp Spider (creature)
| This article is about the creature; for the Aspect Warrior, see Warp Spider. |
Warp Spiders are tiny, aggressive, spider-like creatures that circulate within the Infinity Circuit of each Eldar Craftworld and the Webway[1][2] purging it of non-Eldar psychic presences.[5] Their aggressive defensiveness served to inspire the Warp Spiders Warrior Aspect.[2][3][5]
They are gather often within the Wraithbone trees of the Dome of Crystal Seers from where they melt their arachnoid forms into the Infinity Circuit,[3] acting as the circuit's immune system, searching for and destroying any invasive psychic presence that would otherwise corrupt the entire Infinity Circuit.[2][3] As they come to the defence of the craftworld like the Eldar Guardians, they are nicknamed White Guardians.[1]
Warp Spiders may also play a role in the maintenance of the Webway, and are sometimes seen around tears into the Warp pulling silken-web across breaches where wards have been already placed by the Aeldari.[4] Warp Spiders' Crystaline Webs are sometimes affixed to important vehicle components so that the spiders can quickly repair them in battle.[6]
