Lhykosidae
Lhykosidae, known as the Wraith Spider, is the name of a Mythical Eldar Warp Spider Aspect Warrior Warp Entity which is constituted from the warp presense of the Warp Spiders which purify the infinity circuit of a Craftworld[1a] to serve as an agent of the Infinity Circuit.[1c]

Overview
Existing within the legends of Craftworld Kaelor, the Lhykosidae is a rogue Exarch who appears once every few millennia to bring justice and peace to their Craftworld. It is believed that this figure rose through the ranks of the Warp Spiders and may even be Phoenix Lord of the Warp Spiders; this is not a universally held belief, though its power would transcend that of an Exarch. A copy of the Arc of Destiny located in the House Library of Ansgar even claims that the war between Kaelor and Saim-Hann was won by Kaelor due to the timely arrival of the Wraith Spider.[1a]
Some hold the view that the Wraith Spider has taken the essential soul of the Warp Spiders with him, being a kind of spiritual awakening rather than finding or donning the armour of a fallen Phoenix Lord as is the case with the main Aspect Temples – although the golden armour of the last Lhykosidae, constructed of Warp Spiderwebs, sits within the Aspect Temple a new set is worn by the next Wraith Spider the Infinity Circuit creates.[1c] Among the beliefs of the Warp Spiders of Kaelor, it is understood that the Wraith Spider is a monumental force of purification said to return to Kaelor at the moment of greatest pollution and atrophy. Vhaalum the Silver, a mighty Kaelorian Wraithsmith, holds his own interpretation of this myth: he believed the Wraith Spider to be a personification of Wraithbone itself, Sha'iel directly manifested into an organic form.[1a] Whatever it may be, it is able to inhabit Warp Spider Aspect Warriors, as it did within Naois Ansgar as he defeated the pleasure cultists within the Sentrium.[1b]
The Lhykosidae has manifested upon Kaelor, such as during the ancient war with Saim-Hann[1a] and to purge the corruption of the Sentrium.[1b] The Lhykosidae is prophesied to lead the souls of the dead from their infinity circuit into battle at the Rhana Dandra.[1a]
Notes
- The Lhykosidae was assumed by some among the isolated and undereducated Eldar of Kaelor to be the Phoenix Lord of the Warp Spider Aspect Warriors. This is not the case,[1a] as the Phoenix Lord of the Warp Spiders is Lhykis.[2]
