Xariss was a world of the Imperium.[1]
History
During the Third Tyrannic War, Xariss had the misfortune to lie in the path of the Tyranid Hive Fleet Leviathan. Although the world had a high population, Imperial authorities believed that it was impossible to defend Xariss from the xenos invasion. However, Planetary Governor Vallera Dresis was considered vital personnel worth saving, and so a small Militarum force led by Commissar Decius Krassus was tasked with extracting the Governor and evacuating her offworld.[1]
