Zask' Lagga
Zask' Lagga was an Ork Warboss, who commanded an armada from his flagship, Da Blue Crusha.[1b]
History
He was active in the Imperium Nihilus, where Lagga led an attack on an Imperial Navy fleet. However while doing so, the Warboss became obsessed with capturing the Battleship Retributio Tempestatis, which was commanded by Admiral Samwell Wyan. But she enacted an emergency Warp jump, after the Battleship was heavily damaged by the Orks. Lagga then led his armada in search of the Tempestatis and found it within a nearby sector. However by that time, Wyan had made contact with an Indomitus Crusade Fleet,[1b] which was defending the sector's worlds from the Sorcerer Lord known as the Prophet.[1a] The Crusade Fleet had been aiding the Admiral in repairing the Battleship, but this is what had drawn the armada to its location.[1b]
Lagga's armada then attacked the Crusade Fleet and though the Retributio Tempestatis was not fully repaired, Wyan led her Battleship against Da Blue Crusha. She was then able to damage the Warboss' flagship so severely, that Lagga ordered his armada to retreat before the Crusha could be destroyed. However, the Warboss warned that he would return to claim the Retributio Tempestatis. The Crusade Fleet then resumed repairing the Tempestatis, but Lagga once again returned before its repairs were completed. This time however, the Warboss's armada was able to board the Battleship and began jettisoning its crew into space. When it became clear the Tempestatis was going to be captured by Lagga's Orks, the Crusade Fleet's Magos, Zoeina Pryam, advised the Admiral to give the order to abandon the Battleship. Wyan refused to do so and instead prepared to sacrifice the Tempestatis, by overloading its Warp drives. But before that could happen, the Admiral's Imperial Navy fleet suddenly emerged from the Warp and began attacking the Warboss' armada. Now caught between the Indomitus and Navy fleets, the Orks were outmatched and Lagga ordered his armada to retreat into the Warp.[1b]
The Warboss once more threatened to return and claim the Retributio Tempestatis, but Wyan would not allow Lagga to escape again. She then ordered her Battleship to ram Da Blue Crusha, just as it prepared to enter the Warp. The attack successfully landed, and the Warboss' flagship was then destroyed by the Imperial Navy fleet.[1b]
