Hadron Omega-7-7

Hadron Omega-7-7 is a technoarchaeologist Tech Priest affiliated with Forge World Urdesh.[1i] She is currently in the service of Inquisitor Grendyl and aiding in his goals on Atoma Prime.[1]

Inquisitor Grendyl affords Hadron certain latitudes in the pursuit of technoarchaeological discoveries.[3]

Hadron provides artisan services to the warband such as refitting auric operatives' wargear, crafting bespoke devices like vox-hackers,[1c][1f] as well as overseeing servo-skull operations and various data transfers during missions. She also oversees the vox systems of the Warband and often listens in the various conversations aboard the Mourningstar.[1d] Interrogator Rannick remarks that she probably has more listening devices on the Rogue Trader's ship than even he himself does.[1f]

Hadron states she is 392.1736 Terran cycles old, having been angry for most of them. She is also "fluent in all one hundred and one binharic cants of the eighty-ninth discipline."[1b] Some among the warband would describe her as "cranky and obsessive".[4]

Moebian Steel

Hadron would be contacted by an anonymous informant from deep within Hive Tertium, designated as "Swagger". The informant offered up the location of one of Saint Messelina's ancient Machinaria Gloriana. These ancient, long-forgotten facilities are said to each hold unique marvels that aided in Messelina's wars across the Moebian Domain some millennia ago.[3]

One of these Machinaria Gloriana is known as Clandestium Gloriana. This derelict Mechanicus research station is located in Atelium Foundryplex Omega V, deep within the bowls of Tertium's Inter-Zone Void Sector Omega-12.[5] The mysterious informant who claims to have ties to Grendyl would notify Hadron of this, knowing she would have great interest in this fabled archaeotech facility said to be able to create Moebian Steel.[2] A strike team would be sent to rondevo with Swagger, fight off heretics who also quickly became aware of this valuable find. The team would make their initial entry into the facility and reawaken it. The strike team would depart with a small amount of Moebian Steel, having been made for the first time in millennia.[1g]

Hadron would later visit the Clandestium Gloriana in person. The strike team protecting her was dropped off by the Valkyrie pilot Flight Lieutenant Borovitch. This was a subsequent strike team was different than the prior team that made contact with Swagger. Hadron's escort consisted of Naibert, Veedra, and Dronica. As Hadron inspected the facility, Naibert would be on overwatch with his longlas. He was also tasked by Interrogator Rannick to spy on Hadron, recording her actions with a little pict unit attached to his scope, provided by the Interrogator and returned to him post-mission.[4]

Hadron would continue attempting to unravel these secrets of the "Rite of Steel". With the expertise of Enginseer Kayex-8, she has been able to facilitate her experiments using Metalfab 36 in attempts to recreate of production process Moebian Steel.[1h]
