Cocleratum is a world of the Imperium.[1a] It is known to raise the Coclerati Janissary regiments for the Astra Militarum.[1b]
History
In the Age of the Dark Imperium, Cocleratum suffered from a heretic uprising that seized control of the world.[1a] Forces of the Indomitus Crusade[1a], including a number of Mordian Iron Guard regiments[1b] and the Cadian 217th, arrived to liberate the planet.[1a]
The Mordians encountered heavier than expected resistance while trying to take the capital city of Elborescum. After some intelligence gathering, the Imperials learned that the heretics had banded together under the banner of a single individual, a psyker called Speccius. A team of three snipers from the Cadian 217th was ordered to infiltrate Elborescum ahead of the next Imperial advance to assassinate Speccius. This team included Corporal Darya Nevic, a Coclerati transplant (her officers hoping that her local knowledge would be useful during the mission).[1b]
