The Praetorian Pattern Knight is the most common type of Imperial Knight.[1]

History

It can fulfill multiple roles in the battlefield, as the Praetorian can hold its own in long range and in close combat. Depending on its type, one of the Praetorian's arms can be equipped with either a Battle Cannon, Autocannon or Multi-Melta. However the other wields a vicious close assault weapon, to crack open armor and sweep aside infantry, and they are all equipped with Imperial Shock Lances as well. While High Monarchs will usually use a Praetorian, some are customized so that the Knight suits can lead the faster Centurion Pattern Knights into battle.[1]
