Areopeia Junction

The Areopeia Junction is a region of the Golden Throne's mechanisms within the Imperial Palace. The primary purpose of this region is to contain various mechanisms that allow the prime interface — being the actual Throne seat — to retain contact with the interface. If this mechanism failed the seated occupant would no longer be connected to the Golden Throne.[1]
The Fabricator-General of Mars, Oud Oudia Raskian, stated that the significance of the region's name, "Areopeia Junction", is a term with an unknown meaning. Raskian also theorises that the Aeropeia Junction is a subsystem used to mediate between the occupant and the non-human mechanisms that make up the physical core of the Golden Throne.[1]
