AsanethAyu
AsanethAyu is a Necron Cryptek Chronomancer of the first court of Valdrekh[1a] of the Nihilakh Dynasty.[3]
History
She was once kept imprisoned within a Stasis Casket in an orbital prison fortress owned by Inquisitor Cehen-qui.[2] However the Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl sought AsanethAyu's aid in learning how to operate a Necron Temporal Ark[1] and had his servant Alpha Primus free her[2] and deliver the Chronomancer's casket to the Ark Mechanicus Zar-Quaesitor. She was then placed within Cawl's Great Necron Archive aboard the Zar-Quaesitor and though AsanethAyu was still kept within the stasis casket, Cawl put further defences around her so that he could talk to her when he opened the casket. During these moments Cawl would treat her with kindness in an attempt to convince her to aid him. However, AsanethAyu refused to do so and swore that once she freed herself, the Chronomancer would use her abilities to murder Cawl and then rewind time so that she could do it again and again. AsanethAyu also promised Cawl that he would remember each of his deaths.[1a]
AsanethAyu would escape from her prison during Fabius Bile's ambush of the Zar-Quaesitor. She almost killed an unarmed Cawl during the chaos and would have succeeded had she not felt the need to announce his death by her hands before executing her ambush of the Tech-Priest.[1b] Cawl would eventually defeat her through guile and improvisation, ultimately using a xenos plasma carbine shot to decapitate her.[1c]
AsanethAyu remains in Archmagos Dominus Cawl's custody, but now as a disembodied head. He promises to restore her body if she aids Cawl in his mission to the Necron world of Irtanathep.[1d]
