Asun'ghar[1a]

Asun'ghar, the Lady of Ash, is the most influential Spirit Speaker of Necromunda's Ash Waste Nomads.[1b]

Origin and Legends

The true identity and origins of Asun'ghar are mysteries known only to the Grey Waste Walkers. Sightings of her among hivers and guilders span centuries, leading many to speculate that she is either extraordinarily long-lived or that multiple women have assumed the mantle of the Lady of Ash. Rumours also suggest that she might be an evolved creature of the ashlands, wearing the guise of a woman.[1d]

Recent Activity

During an assembly of the Ash Waste Nomads at the Sky Mirror, a sacred valley with a floor of scorched glass, she signaled a great migration toward the lands of the Ironhead Squats at the city of Jardlan.[1b]

In the ruins of Jardlan, she overpowered Lady Haera Helmawr, and uttered the word "Sister" to her face, before Haera escaped in Hive Secundus.[1c]

Status

Among the esteemed spirit speakers of the Tsun'ghar, none are as feared or respected as Asun'ghar. To her people, she is revered as a Great Spirit, embodying the scavenger creatures of the wasteland. To the enemies of the Ash Waste Nomads, she is a storm-born devil who leaves nothing but bones in her wake as she scavenges corpses and settlements alike.[1d]

Powers

Asun'ghar exhibits an almost psychic connection with wasteland beasts and other scavenging creatures, seemingly able to communicate with and direct them towards the enemies of the Tsun'ghar. She exudes a palpable energy that triggers animalistic terror in both beasts and people, subduing their instincts before the majesty of the Lady of Ash.[1d]

Equipment

Asun'ghar weilds an electro-charged Spirit Stave designed like the beak of her grapplehawk, Terror's Shadow.[1d]
