The Battle for Hephaesto was a conflict which saw Waaagh!-strength Ork Freebooterz, lead by Kaptin Badrukk, invading the Forge World Hephaesto for plunder, and later being "reinforced" by the Tekwaaagh! with the same goal. Quickly agreeing to a tenuous peace, both forces of Orks assaulted the remaining standing city, Node Primus. Unknown to both sides, months prior Chaos elements had seduced a Magos with promises of exotic technology and had nearly finished work when the orks had invaded.^[2i]
