Cult of the True Resurrection
The Cult of the True Resurrection is a Necromundan Imperial Cult, that believe the galaxy can be reborn, if the Emperor and the Imperium die. Because of this, they also practice self-mutilation, in order to show their devotion to the notion that all things must die.[1]
Originally, the Cult consisted of only House Cawdor members, that were cast out and exiled for their beliefs and they eventually came to live in the remote Hive Primus Underhive settlement, Heretic's Hole. There, the True Resurrection preached their message to any who would listen and soon whole areas of Heretic's Hole were under their sway. Since then, their beliefs have spread to other settlements, such as Sump City and Dust Falls, and this has caused a hidden civil war to break out within House Cawdor between traditionalists of the Redemption Cult and those who seek to follow the True Resurrection. Once he learned of this, Heretic's Hole's ruler, Ursan Graves, who has generally been tolerant of the Cult's presence in his settlement, began to increase its defences in case the civil war one day threatens his settlement.[1]
