Drystann Cromm was the Grand Master of the Grey Knights. He was Grand Master of the Fourth Brotherhood and Keeper of the Augurium.[2]

History

Cromm was an exemplar of psychic martial prescience within the Fourth Brotherhood, famed for being a dependable and cool-headed commander with the ability to temper the temptations given by foresight.[3a] In 841.M41, he led four Brotherhoods of the Grey Knights to stop an incursion by Tzeentchian Daemons.[1].

After recieving disturbing Warp portents with regards to the Choral Engine, Cromm led an expedition to Malakbael to warn Fleetmaster Trincus Abconcis and Inquisitor Glori Emagna of a likely Chaos assault. This prediction proved correct, as soon Angron himself appeared at the head of a great Chaos host. During the subsequent Battle of Malak, Cromm led a last stand against Angron and his Bloodthirster bodyguards within the inner sanctum of the Choral Engine. Despite badly wounding the Primarch and nearly banishing him back to the Warp, Cromm was ultimately torn in half by the Daemon Primarch's Chain Axe Spinegrinder[3b]

Notes

Cromm was described as a Grand Master originally[1][2], but in Arks of Omen: Angron was stated to be a Brother-Captain.[3a]
