The Ehveline are reincarnations of the mythical secret daughter of Isha to whom she taught the secrets of the universe which, according to the same legend, reincarnate in secret among the Eldar but never reach adulthood.[1a] The legend is remembered stronges on Craftworld Kaelor and the Seer of House Yuthran, to whom the most recent Ehveline was born: Ela'Ashbel Ansgar.[1b]

History

In The Lost Daughter, a unique Kaelor variation on the Mythic Cycle of the Tears of Isha which saw the Children of Isha (the Eldar) separated from the goddess Isha by the Phoenix King Asuryan in order to protect them from Khaine's wrath, one daughter is secreted from the Phoenix King and raised by Isha in heaven. There, she learned the secrets of the universe and her power grew so great it would become impossible to hide her from Asuryan and the wrath of Khaine. So, Isha transported her daughter to the mortal realm where she was kept hidden among the most secretive and isolated of the Eldar – and so it came to be that in time her incarnations, the Ehveline, would reside among the people of Kaelor. The myth is kept alive largely by House Yuthran and the other Seer Houses of Kaelor.[1c]

The Ehveline is an immortal soul who has gone through the cycle of reincarnations many times, always taking the shape of beautiful girls with startling sapphire eyes and powerful Psychic gifts. Each time never growing beyond childhood – as she was not brought from the heavens fully grown neither can her incarnations be.[1c]

Recent Events

Ela'Ashbel Ansgar is thought to have been the first of the Ehveline born since the Radiant Age of Gwrih, the daughter of Bedwyr Ansgar the patriarch of House Ansgar and secret daughter of Lady Ione of the House of Yuthran. Still a child she prophecied the end of the Craftworld and led her brother the Warp Spider Aspect Warrior Naois Ansgar the vessel for the Wraith Spider as his "Araconid" Warlock[1d] to their prophetic destiny in destroying the hedonistic forces which had taken leadership within the Craftworld.[1b]

Ela'Ashbel was viewed as Vaugnh, an abomination, and her presence disquieted foes.[1e] Even as a child she could walk through battles unscathed as none dared, or perhaps none could, take violent action against her.[1e]

Despite the prophecy of death in childhood, Ela'Ashbel became the Chief Farseer of Kaelor[2] and was still alive some two thousand years after her birth.[3] This may be the result of her psychic battle with the Dark Apostle Kor Phaeron which blinded her such that she now cries tears of blood when she uses her Psychic powers.[2]
