Fallen House
Fallen Houses are Necromunda Noble Houses[1a] and Clan Houses[2b][3] that have lost their status.[1a][2b][3]
Description
The Houses' Lords are usually hunted down and killed to ensure they do not threaten the rule of the Hive World's Imperial Commander Gerontius Helmawr. Those that survive, though, become known as Rebel Lords and are often driven to seek vengeance against Gerontius for their downfall[1b]. In time, however, the names of most Fallen Houses will simply fade away, as the Hive World's long history is littered with them.[1a]
Known Fallen Houses
- House Aranthus[4]
- House Credo[3]
- House Hasbel[2a]
- House Helm'ayr[2a] (sort of; House Helmawr is made of this house's descendants)
- House Mung[2a]
- House Olwar[2a]
- House Orlund[2b]
Trivia
In Fanatic Online 31's article Necromunda: Ash Waste Nomads, House Catallus is presented as a fully fallen house whose members were cast out into the wastelands.[5] This was later contradicted by Necromunda Magazine Issue 3's article Ash Wastes, where the house was presented as divided in a civil war and only the losing faction was exiled into the wastelands.[6]
