House Credo
House Credo is a Fallen Clan House of Necromunda's Hive Primus.[1]
History
It was originally an offshoot of House Orlund[1], which was among the first Clan Houses created on the Hive World in M35.[2a]
However, in 111.M38[2b], only a few years after House Credo's creation[1], Orlund's industries were forcibly taken over by House Orlock, who then consumed the weakened House. This not only ended Orlund's status as a Clan House, but Credo's as well, though others feel it was barely worth calling the House one. Despite its downfall, however, Credo would continue to exist as a Fallen House, though by late M41 Lord Constantine Credo was down to his last few credits.[1]
Both his fortune and House Credo's would suddenly change, after a mysterious woman introduced herself to Constantine however. They were soon married and he would then cede control of House Credo to his wife, Lady Credo. She had long sought to overthrow House Helmawr's rule of Necromunda and used Credo's name to begin gathering allies and laying down the foundation for her rebellion. Decades later, Lady Credo's work had created an army that was waiting to strike at her command. This finally occurred when the Great Rift's Noctis Aeterna struck Hive World and an Assassin's attack left its Imperial Commander, Gerontius Helmawr, in a Stasis Casket. With the Imperial House now weakened, the Credo Rebellion began.[1]
