Grot Tanks are small ramshackle armoured vehicles built and piloted by Gretchin (or 'Grot') hordes within Ork armies.^[1]

The product of the insane imaginations of grot servants and scavengers that have spent far too long under the influence of the insane genius of the Big Meks and Mekboyz, Grot Tanks are small assault tanks made to imitate the far larger Ork vehicles.^[1] Grot Tanks have over-build engines, allowing them to go as fast as possible.^[3] They however have a tendency to explode^[2] or losing useless junk while being fired upon without tanking any damage.^[3]

Grot Tanks can be armed with a Big Shoota, a Skorcha, a Grotzooka or a Kustom Mega Blasta. They can also have a pintle-mounted shoota. In a Grot Tank Mob, one Grot Tank can serve as Kommanda Tank, being even more overbuild and mounting two main weapons.^[3]
