Helm of Brother-Sergeant Gaultus
Helm of Brother-Sergeant Gaultus is a sculpture exhibited at Warhammer World and depicting a life-sized Terminator Armour helmet.[1]
Subject
Every suit of Terminator armour is a precious relic to the Space Marine Chapter it belongs to. Such artefacts are irreplaceable, and painstakingly maintained, for the secrets of their construction are known only to a few.[1]
This helm was inherited by Veteran Sergeant Gaultus of the Ultramarines 1st Company, shortly before the Battle of Angelus Prime. It saved his life from the blow of a Soul Grinder's colossal claw, enabling Gaultus to recover from the attack, swing his thunder hammer and deliver a crippling strike to the Daemon Engine's midsection, causing its destruction. The helm, its left temple caved in by the Soul Grinder's claw, has since been reconsecrated by senior Techmarines and fitted with a bionic eye which links to Gaultus' own ruined socket.[1]
