Gaultus is a Veteran Terminator Sergeant of the Ultramarines Chapter's 1st Company.^[1]

History

He was among its forces that fought the hordes of the Chaos God Khorne in the Battle for Angelus Prime.^[1] As the Ultramarines defended the Shrine World Sanctoria's capital,^[2a] Gaultus was struck in the head by the massive claw of a Soul Grinder. Though he lost his left eye from the attack, the helm that the Sergeant had inherited shortly before the battle saved his life. This allowed Gaultus to recover from the Daemon Engine's blow and he destroyed it with a swing of his Thunder Hammer.^[1] After the Ultramarines were victorious,^[2b] the Sergeant's caved in helm was repaired and fitted with a bionic eye, that links to Gaultus' ruined eye socket.^[1]
