Hive Oadunn

Hive Oadunn was a hive located on the Imperial world of Hishrea that met with disaster.[1]
During the reign of Planetary Governor Lugiphron Thror XII, he attempted to deal with his world's out-of-control frostwyrms by tunnelling from Oadunn into one of their nesting caves so they could destroy the millions of frostwyrm eggs inside. However, on breaching the cave, the frostwyrms swarmed back through the tunnels to Oadunn, and around 98% of the hive's population was wiped out by the vicious creatures. Hive Oadunn collapsed as a result, and no Governor of Hishrea has attempted a mass frostwyrm purge since.[1]
