Host of Masks
The Host of Masks was the name given to one of the eight individuals which made up the mysterious Hand of Abaddon, an organisation within the Black Legion dedicated to reconstituting the Anathame.[1a]
Representing the 3rd of the Hand, the Host of Masks is described as slithering and capable of wearing false faces. An assassin of some repute, its exact origin was not clear. Some claimed it was a corrupted Imperial Assassin while others that it was a Daemon or even the last of a Xenos species.[1b]
Following the Battle of the Stygius Gilt, the Host of Masks was one of the remaining Hand members that escaped their Blackstone Fortress base. In the battles aftermath it acknowledged Tharador Yheng as the new first of the Hand due to the death of Tenebrus.[1c]
