Overview
A house that once ruled the Moebian Domain in M35. Jannice Barquette[Note 1] took the office of Lord Moebian in M35, an era of the domain where it came to near-collapse due to the Fringe War, through the aid of a "Victorious Alliance" of Noble Houses. The domain would have been destroyed if it wasn't for the aid of unspecified forces sent from the wider Imperium to aid in its defense.

House Barquette would lead the economic boom of Atoma, digging deep for Moebian Iron and resources, destroying the biosphere and leading to great wealth being accumulated. This would lead to the beginning of Hive Tertium's construction as vast sprawls and archologies merged into a single continent sized layered abomination of steel and civilization.
[Help]
House Barquette held the office of Lord Moebian for a portion of M35 going into M36, when the planet shifted it's focus into being extreme industry around the mining and smelting of ore for Tanks - which lead to the overall ecological collapse of Atoma. Gold Plate metal armour is said to be a marker of the days when House Barquette was in charge. The Barquettes are recognized for their often garish clothing (gold plates & vibrant blues, reds, etc) while the Margraves are recognized by more solemn dour clothing (reds, browns, blacks).[1j] House Margrave is the current ruling house of Atoma Prime.

Known Members
- Gunther Barquette is one of the most powerful nobles of Atoma, and his heraldry can be seen on his personal guard.[1a]
- Julius Barquette - "A minor noble in Tertium's second house, Julius is desperate to prove his name and bring back some trophies to adorn the family hunting wall. Sick of playing second fiddle to the Margraves, Julius' ultimate goal is to reestablish House Barquette as the premier dynasty in the Hive."[1b] Julius has an Ogryn bodyguard named Grudge whom he dresses in lavish garments to further proclaim his own wealth and status.[1c]
- Junius Lucanus Barquette - "A somewhat distant relative of Julius Barquette, Junius firmly shares his second-uncle's militant belief that the Barquettes should once more be the ruling family in Tertium. At times, he has been known to gather a group of his peers and, accompanied by his ogryn bodyguard (styled after Julius' own), take to the lower hive levels intent on leaving his mark. With the current invasion and cult uprising, his efforts have actually been somewhat beneficial."[1d] Junius has an Ogryn bodyguard he named Martialis who used to work in a forge.[1e]
- Confessor Prisca Barquette - "Part of a minor off-shoot of the main Barquette dynasty, Prisca has found a calling in the role of a family Confessor. Whispers echoing among the high-spire halls suggest she has attained her current status and opulent lifestyle through selling pardons in the eye of the Emperor. Truly heretical accusations should they ever be proven to be true."[1f]
- Mamzel Durellia of House Barquette - A highborn representative of House Barquette observing some the Inquisition's affairs.[1i]
- Amelia Barquette - a hive rat of no renown, who is only a Barquette in name, she has recently sought to make a name for herself. While on a personal crusade destroying illicit stimm production in the Carnival District, she was recruited by one of Inquisitor Grendyl's agents. Thus becoming a fellow reject in the warband.[1g]
- Taraxander - A psyker who is courted by many of House Barquette. "Rumoured to have forseen that a Barquette will once again claim dominion over Atoma and the Moebian sector, Taraxander has found himself courted by many high-ranking Barquettes, eager to be confirmed as the future confessor. Bribes and favours pour his way, whether the rumours are true or not. Taraxander certainly isn't making a great show of denying it."[1h]
