Iron Magus
The Iron Magus was the name given to one of the eight individuals which made up the mysterious Hand of Abaddon, an organisation within the Black Legion dedicated to reconstituting the Anathame.[1a]
Representing the 4th of the Hand, the Iron Magus is a Heretek of the Dark Mechanicus. It is a hulking creature with cybernetic Technomandrites and spidery-like mechanical limbs.[1a] The Iron Magus was the one responsible for operating and maintaining the Blackstone Fortress which the Hand used as their base. Like all of the Hand, she had its own retinue and had an entourage of mechanical horrors and slaves.[1b]
The Iron Magus was the most proactive in attempting to counter the growing potential and influence of Tenebrus's acolyte Tharador Yheng within the Hand. During a power struggle, she was able to capture Yheng and bring her to the hidden command room of the Blackstone Fortress.[1c] But before she could execute Yheng, the Battle of the Stygius Gilt began and the Heretek became desperate to stabilize the now-damaged Fortress. In the ensuing chaos Yheng was able to escape and watched as the Iron Magus was incinerated by the destabilized core of the Fortress.[1d]
