Karebennian
Karebennian was a legendary Solitaire[1a] and a member of the Harlequins of Arcadia,[1a] with whom he had initially trained and to whom he returns often in the midst of performance from some hidden Webway entrance.[1c] Karabennian has wandered the Webway for many years bringing news of the Aeldari diaspora to its disparate people, flittering across Exodite Worlds, Craftworlds, and making no distinction between Asuryani and Drukhari.[1a] Karebennian was able to join the Harlequins of Arcadia for their performances on Biel-Tan in which they warned of Mephet'ran's plot to destroy the Talismans of Vaul.[1c]
It is rumoured that Karebennian was entrusted with guarding one of the known entrances to the Black Library.[1a] It was in pursuit of this that Karebennian supposedly wrote the Tome of Karebennian, a legendary guidebook known to Magnus the Red and stolen in battle by Ahriman which supposedly showed the navigable route to the Black Library. The Tome itself was actually intended to guide those who followed its charts to Arcadia and the waiting Harlequins of Arcadia.[1b]
It was through Ahriman following his tome that Karebennian finally met his end, losing the duel he had guided the Prodigal Sons towards. However, his death was not in vain as he destroyed what Webway charts Ahriman had collected and successfully manufactured the reunion of the pieces of the Lost Blade of Lanthrilaq the Swift.[1c]
