Khibala Yusra, First Born Twin of the Spear was the leader of the Murabla Kindred and is a Kroot Mercenary dedicated to hunting Tyranids. He was also in the service of Inquisitor Angmar for a time.[1][2a]
Biography
Khibala Yusra was born alongside his twin brother in the western jungles of Pech into the Murabla Kindred. The warlike kindred pursued the path of the mercenary outside the exclusive agreements sworn with the T'au. Khibala Yusra earned his name name when he slew a great Kroot beast, nearly killing him and costing him the life of his twin brother.[2a]
Yusra eventually rose to social importance and became the leader of his Kindred. His reputation as a respected war leader known for his bravery swiftly grew. Eventually he gained command of his own warsphere and the whole of Pech soon came to respect his accomplishments. His periodic returns to the homeworld were occasions of great celebration and feasting.[2a]
Sometime during the Second Tyrannic War, Yusra and the Murabla Kindred returned to Pech to find it in the midst of a Tyranid invasion and swiftly aided in repelling ravenous xenos. Once the battle was over, Khibala Yusra consumed the vile flesh of one of the xenos corpses left alive, that he might know his enemy and begin hunting the creatures further afield. For several years they fought against Tyranids and numerous other xenos. Khibala Yusra slew the leader of a Galthite Expansionist warband, taking their powerful weapon for himself. As they continued to fight on, their numbers grew smaller over time, each fallen warrior's flesh was solemnly devoured by the Kindred to preserve their genetic material. Eventually they grew so sparse that they had to abandon their warsphere and had to earn passage on the voidships of their employers, still pursuing the trail of Hive Fleet Kraken.[2a]
This eventually lead them to Ichar IV where they fought in the Ichar IV Campaign. This is where the Kroot were encountered by Inquisitor Angmar, who noted the ferocity of the warriors in battle.[1] With the Ultramarines stretched too thin in cleansing the last pockets of resistance, Angmar granted Yusra and the Murabla sanction and inducted them into his retinue.[1][2a]
After two years in the Inquisitor's service, all the warriors that remained of the once-proud mercenary chief were dead. Their genetic material was consumed and contained within his body. Knowing something of Kroot death-oaths, Inquisitor Agmar released Khibala Yusra from his service. Since then Yusra has wandered through space, seeking to kill as many Tyranid organisms as possible before succumbing to an honourable death.[2a]
Equipment
Khibala wields an implanted weapon attached to each hand; a Galthite Lacerator in his left hand and a K'nib multi-launcher in his right. Their helm incorporates a rebreather, range-finder and anti-flash visor.[2a]
