The Kurzgesagt was the Adeptus Mechanicus flagship of the Gryphonnen Lord Explorator Satavic Yuel.^[1a]

History

The Kurzgesagt was once part of the Explorator Fleet Rhi-Alpha-2 prior to the destruction of Gryphonne IV by the Tyranid Hive Fleet Leviathan. While the flotilla attempted to escape the planet with escaping refugees, the ship would be torn asunder by the Tyranids assaulting the planet's orbit.^[1b]

• "Kurzgesagt" is a German term meaning "in a nut-shell", "in short", or literally "shortly said", meaning to summarize shortly or say something concisely.
• This could also be a reference to the German animation and design studio Kurzgesagt which focuses on creating educational videos in a minimalist style.
