Magistratum Enforcers

The Magistratum Enforcers, commonly referred to as Mags, are the law-keeping force that keeps order throughout Hive Tertium. These enforcers are funded by the current Lord Moebian, the ruler of Atoma Prime and the Moebian Domain, Lord Constance Margrave.[1]
Overview
Often called "Mags" or "Strats" amongst the hive population, their primary task is to quell riots amongst Tertium's population. While keeping order in the streets, they also keep watch for signs of sedition, cults, and heresy.[1] Their armour and uniforms are reminiscent of those found across the galaxy in innumerable precincts, anywhere the Imperium has established itself.[2a] The Mags are tasked with enforcing the Lex Atoma.[2i]
In more troubled parts of Tertium, Enforcers once had a brief dalliance with seconding local Ogryns.[2f]
The Mags can sometimes be corrupt and convinced into doing the bidding of powerful criminals for personal gain. One known instance involves a squad of enforcers performing a hit on an ambitious potential rival of the Water Cartel's Ragged King. A bounty was placed on the rival's head and information on their heist was given to the Mags so that the target could be ambushed.[2h]
War in Tertium
Since the invasion of the Moebian 6th traitors and the rise of the Cult of Admonition, their already tough job has become a desperate fight for survival. Remote watch stations fall silent with a disturbing regularity, and even the great Magistratum Oubliette in the Torrent has become a den of traitors.[2a]
When the traitor's first tox-train hit during the Moebian 6th's initial act of betrayal, only the rebreathers in their helmets kept some of the nearby Mags upright. The tox-bomb's gas turned all those not as fortunate into newly infected poxwalkers.[2b] Between the shambling hordes of citizens and the many Watch Stations wiped out to the man, some Mags are out for revenge against those responsible.[2g]
